The northernmost part of the state, Far North Queensland is a tropical region stretching from Cairns to the Torres Strait. With the magnificent coral of the Great Barrier Reef off the coast and World Heritage listed tropical rainforests on the land, there are not many locations in the world that can boast such unique natural attractions within easy reach. There is an abundance of wildlife that thrives here as well as some of the finest produce found anywhere on the planet. We are working with a whole range of people in the agriculture and aquaculture spaces to improve what is already world class.

Cairns

The city of Cairns in Tropical Far North Queensland, is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the magnificent Daintree Rainforest. From scuba diving and snorkelling tours on the Reef to scenic railway tours through the Daintree Rainforest, this small city is a steppingstone to a whole range of experiences, opportunities and diversity.

Great Barrier Reef

One of the seven natural wonders of the world and comprising of more than 2,900 individual reefs and stretches over more than 2,300 kilometres along the north eastern seaboard of Australia. We are grateful to be so close to such a magnificent body of life however, it too needs protecting and it is through improved farming practices that we hope to contribute to the preservation of this globally significant oceanic breeding ground.

Daintree Rainforest

The Daintree Rainforest is a region on the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia, north of Mossman and Cairns. At around 1,200 square kilometres the Daintree is a part of the largest continuous area of tropical rainforest in Australian. The Daintree Rainforest is a part of the Wet Tropics of Queensland Rainforest, that spans across the Cairns Region. The Wet Tropics Rainforest (that the Daintree is a part of) is the oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest in the world. Along the coastline north of the Daintree River, tropical forest grows right down to the edge of the sea.

Atherton Tablelands

The Tablelands are a highland region near Cairns, where the landscape’s mix of rainforest, wetlands and savannah is home to numerous birds and wildlife like tree kangaroos and wallabies. The region encompasses a waterfalls circuit and features a huge variety of landscapes and attractions as well as amazing farming pursuits including Coffee, Avocado, Mango, Papaya, Citrus, Bananas, Tea, Strawberries, Flowers, Dairy, Sugar, Potatoes and Aquaculture to name but a few.
